Spindle Mattress Setup & Foundation Guide
Spindle's modular latex construction makes support, assembly and cover care important ownership details.
Support matters
Latex is dense and needs a stable, compatible surface. Spindle emphasizes that inadequate support can affect comfort and may contribute to sagging or damage. A solid platform or properly spaced slatted base is the type of support to investigate; always confirm current manufacturer requirements for your frame.
Expect the components to be heavy
A modular design means you may handle individual latex layers rather than one finished slab. That can make fine-tuning possible, but latex foam is heavy and flexible. Plan assembly with enough room and, when needed, a second person.
Protect the cover
Spindle says its mattress cover is not washable and recommends a washable mattress protector. Treat the zippered cover as part of the mattress construction rather than routine laundry.
Re-check the support after moving
If comfort suddenly changes after relocating the bed, inspect the frame, slats and center support before assuming the foam itself changed.
